JUNE 2007
NEWSLETTER

After
having the pleasure of working with children as a teacher and
administrator for over 32 years, I made the decision to retire
as of July 2007. In those years there have been many
changes in education. One thing that did not change was my
dedication and commitment to children, families, and colleagues.
It's been my pleasure and honor to be a member of the Neshaminy
School District and to serve your children and you.
To
celebrate my four years at Everitt, the PTO is planning a Family
Fun Day on our last day of school, Tuesday, June 19th from
9:15 am to 1:00 pm. You will receive a flyer with more
information and an opportunity to volunteer to help. I am
asking that no contributions be made toward a gift. Instead,
please use those funds to share a healthy treat with your children
or to support the Everitt PTO.
I will
share the news of my retirement with the boys and girls on Tuesday,
May 29th during morning announcements. I have made many
friends among the children and it is possible that some of them may
be upset now or as we end the school year. Please reassure
them that there is a time for every thing under the sun and this is
my time to be open for new opportunities . . . to read and write
poetry . . . to spend time with my family . . . to travel . . .
From a
place deep within my heart, I thank your support and cooperation,
your kind words, and for sharing your children with me.
